The Prime Minister's announced former PM Mike Moore will have a public funeral, supported by the State, on Friday next week

The Prime Minister's announced former PM Mike Moore will have a public funeral, supported by the State, on Friday next week

Newstalk ZB political editor Barry Soper says the funeral will be at Dilworth School in Auckland, where Moore studied.

Ardern says it'll be a celebration of Moore's life and a chance for his family, friends and the public to pay their respects.

She says it'll be an opportunity to acknowledge his major contribution through his years of public service and for his considerable role in the international arena.

A condolence book has been made available for the public to sign at parliament.
