    There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in the Makarora River

    There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in the Makarora River


    Emergency services were called to the Otago river at around quarter past five last night, after reports of an object in the water.

    Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter... and are in the process of notifying the person's next of kin.

    The death has been referred to the Coroner.
