An outpouring of public emotion in Hastings over a toddler who's suffered severe injuries

He's in Auckland's Starship Hospital, but is likely to be disabled or brain damaged - if he survives.

More than 250 people turned out to a karakia at Flaxmere Park last night for the four year old who was injured a fortnight ago.

Karakia organiser Lynsey Abbott says she's quite a thick-skinned person, but is devastated by what's happened.
