A warning to Christchurch's fleeing drivers - you're being watched

A warning to Christchurch's fleeing drivers - you're being watched

A five-week trial of a police Eagle helicopter took to the Canterbury skies this morning.

It's the first time one's been based in the South Island.

Police Commissioner Mike Bush says the rising number of fatal police pursuits was one of the driving factors behind the trial.

He says no matter how long it takes - they will hold fleeing drivers to account.
