Police say a Dunedin party death is influencing party behaviour by students

Police say a Dunedin party death is influencing party behaviour by students

Second-year Otago student -19-year-old Sophia (so-FEE-uh) Crestani - died last October at a Dundas Street flat known as "The Manor" - notorious for student parties.

Dunedin Senior Sergeant, Craig Dinnissen, says they're seeing a shift students' behaviour in this year's O-week .

He says students are still talking about Crestani's death and are clear they don't want anything similar happening again.

Dinnissen says some parties are still problematic, but people aren't overcrowding houses.
