    Police have launched two homicide investigations after two deaths in South Auckland


    A 46-year-old man's due in the Manukau District Court today after Police found a man dead at a Trimdon Street address, in Randwick Park, early on Friday morning.

    He's been charged with injuring with intent to injure.

    There'll also be a strong Police presence in Otara today after an apparent shooting overnight.

    Police were called to Bairds Road just before midnight, where a critically injured man was found - but later died at the scene.

    In that incident, a second person was taken to Middlemore Hospital with moderate injuries, and scene guards remain in place.
