Christchurch's regional council is holding a drop in session tonight - for Bromley locals fed up with a mysterious stench

Christchurch's regional council is holding a drop in session tonight - for Bromley locals fed up with a mysterious stench

Residents of Christchurch's eastern suburbs have been calling for Environment Canterbury to act for years now.

They say the foul smells are turning off locals and visitors alike.

ECAN says they're keen to chat to Bromley locals at the Community Centre this afternoon - and let them know about their new pilot program.

It includes an app called "Smelt It?" where locals can log where and when they've caught a whiff.

ECAN hopes to report back to the community with findings by the end of the month.
