    No professional tennis will be played before June 7, effectively cancelling the clay court season


    The announcement covers the joint ATP and WTA tournaments in Madrid and Rome, and the French Open.

    The current plan is for both tours to reconvene ahead of the grass court swing.

    Player rankings will be frozen until that time.
