Players are prepared to play up until Christmas if it means completing an NRL season this year

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The competition is suspended as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

If the campaign restarted as late as September, it would mean a December finish and limited time for players to recover and prepare for the 2021 season.

Rugby League Players Association boss Clint Newton has been part of a conference call with around 40 players from various clubs.
