Kieran Read has no intention of returning to Japan to complete the Top League rugby season if it resumes

Kieran Read has no intention of returning to Japan to complete the Top League rugby season if it resumes

The former All Blacks skipper is in the middle of a two year deal with Toyota Verblitz, but the season is on hold until at least May.

Read who returned home just before the lockdown says he's ready to face the consequences of not returning.

Kieran Read will consider returning for the second season of his contract starting in January if the coronavirus pandemic is over.
