The number of cases of Covid-19 in the Southern region has now surpassed those in Auckland

The number of cases of Covid-19 in the Southern region has now surpassed those in Auckland

Seventy four staff who worked at the Queenstown hospital over the past two weeks are now being tested - after two nurses were confirmed to have the virus.

Callum Proctor says the first tested positive on Sunday - and another yesterday - sparking wider testing for staff and some patients.

He says the Southern DHB region now has 98 cases - which is one more than Auckland.
