Watercare is urging people to think wisely before they turn their taps on

Watercare is urging people to think wisely before they turn their taps on

Auckland is still in the grip of drought, with residents being told to reduce their water usage now or face potential restrictions.

Chief executive Raveen Jaduram says rain is forecast, but for water storage dams to replenish there needs to be several weeks of rain.

He says the Hunua and Waitakere Ranges are currently only 53 percent full ... normally at this point they'd be 78 percent full.
