The man bidding to become World Rugby's vice-chairman next month has unveiled plans for a 20-team Club World Cup competition

The man bidding to become World Rugby's vice-chairman next month has unveiled plans for a 20-team Club World Cup competition

French Rugby Federation president Bernard Laporte has told Midi Olympique of his plans to develop the six-week annual event which involve scrapping Europe's Champions Cup.

Six Super Rugby teams would qualify alongside four from England, France and the Pro14 competitions - league champions from Japan and the United States would also feature.

All Blacks and Crusaders first-five Richie Mo'unga has explained how he went rogue under lockdown.

Mo'unga was one of the five players fraternising outside their bubbles yesterday in Christchurch.

In an Instagram post, he says it was not an organised training, but a coincidence they all turned up together.

New details of alleged bribes paid to FIFA executive committee members have emerged.

The clandestine moves were designed to gain their votes so Qatar could host football's 2022 World Cup.
