    He wasn't selected for the majority of the World Cup and was dropped for the Sydney test against Australia, but Tim Southee's mana within the New Zealand cricket team has seen his peers award him the Players' Cap for performances over the past year


    Southee recognises the weight of an award he previously earned in 2013.



    White Ferns captain Sophie Devine's received the women's equivalent.

    The virtual awards ceremony had a somewhat casual dress code but was given a semblance of pomp by Will Somerville dressing in a tie, jacket and waiter's apron armed with a bottle of rose, and Lockie Ferguson sporting a black tie 007 look.
