A small kiwi business has quickly developed a new ventilator

A small kiwi business has quickly developed a new ventilator

Ventilators are in short supply around the world where the covid-19 outbreaks are worse, so a Waikato manufacturing engineer and his two medicine specialist neighbours have created the new prototype ventilator, .

ES Plastics Managing Director Jeff Sharp says New Zealand is their priority.

He says they're proud kiwis, and they'd like to see the first line taken up by New Zealand, after that they'll look for other currencies.

The new ventilators will be sold for significantly less than the global market average of ten thousand dollars a piece.
