Strong support from Kiwis, to hand over their mobile data to authorities, to aid in the fight against Covid-19

Horizon Research has released findings from a poll it conducted, asking people if they were to contract the virus, would they provide their mobile data to Police, to help them trace those who they have been in contact with.

Horizon Research Manager, Grant McInman says 73 percent of respondents, from a survey of 1,267, strongly supported the idea.

He says he was surprised by the results, and expected more resistance.
