Wellingtonians are being urged to refrain from putting out all their recycling at once

Kerbside recycling pick-up's returning to the capital, with an additional pick-up run for bundled cardboard.

Waste Operations Manager Emily Taylor-Hall says they have a lot of stockpiled recycling to work through.

She says they're asking residents to stagger their recycling to allow them to better manage volumes.

Recycling pick-ups never stopped in Auckland, while in Christchurch they've already resumed.
