The All Blacks lock and Crusaders captain has inked a new deal until the end of the 2023 Rugby World Cup as he bids to put the heartbreak of last year's semi-final exit behind him.
With the international programme still unclear, Barrett hopes he gets the chance to pull on the amber and black of the 'Naki in the Mitre10 Cup.
Meanwhile, Scott Barrett has taken a playful jab at brother Beauden's team record and personal best Bronco drill time yesterday.
