The rugby league referees union is vowing the NRL will start on time next Thursday, despite their taking legal action against the governing body

A statement from the union says they give an unwavering commitment to fans that the sport will return next week and have ruled out strike action.
The Union is frustrated the league has switched back to one referee for the competition restart, saying it's a safer game with two on field.
