    A Lower Hutt man denies attempting to murder his mother during the lockdown


    The 24-year-old Naenae resident appeared via video link in the High Court at Wellington this morning.

    The charge of attempted murder by stabbing or cutting relates to an incident on April 10.

    The man pleaded not guilty at today's appearance, and Justice Simon France has set a trial date for May next year.
