Three people were arrested after an aggravated robbery at a Christchurch liquor store last night

The alleged offenders entered the store in Woolston around 9.30 and assaulted a staff member.

They then fled with alcohol and the cash register in a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was tracked by police to an address on Pages Road.

The staff member sustained moderate injuries and was taken to hospital to be assessed - but has now been discharged.
