Blues fans will have to wait a while before they might see their new star signing in action

Blues fans will have to wait a while before they might see their new star signing in action

All Blacks great Dan Carter has linked up with the franchise for Super Rugby Aotearoa as an injury replacement for Stephen Perofeta.

Carter will join Beauden Barrett, Otere Black and Harry Plummer as first-five options for the club.

Carter was previously in Japan and says he hasn't played or trained much over the last few months, so it's not like he'll be playing within the next few weeks.

Carter hasn't played in New Zealand since 2015.
