    Auckland Police say a sawn off shotgun found in a car in central Auckland overnight ... is another reminder of the risks officers face


    Police stopped a suspicious vehicle on Newton Road just before midnight, and found the loaded weapon near the front passenger seat.

    Senior Sergeant Alan Rowland says it demonstrates the danger staff face every day.

    A 27-year-old man and 32-year-old woman are due in court today.
