Duchess Catherine helped plant flowers at a children's hospice

The 38-year-old royal visited The Nook, one of East Anglia's Children's Hospice, in Norfolk, east England, to help children to plant the garden at the hospice purchased herself at a local garden centre

East Anglia's Children's Hospices shared on their official Twitter page: "We're excited to share that our Patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, visited The Nook on Thursday, helping create a patio garden along with families and staff.

"The Duchess also recorded this message for all children’s hospices, as part of #ChildrensHospiceWeek ... The Duchess of Cambridge visited The Nook to mark #ChildrensHospiceWeek, helping families, staff and our volunteer gardener Val create a beautiful patio garden. The team used plants bought by The Duchess during her recent visit to Fakenham Garden Centre. (sic)"

And the Duchess of Cambridge also helped to plant a sunflower for Fraser Delf, whose brother Stui has already managed to raise £16,000 for charity.

They added: "While at The Nook, The Duchess also planted a sunflower in memory of Fraser Delf, following a promise made to his brother, fundraising hero Stui, on a video call earlier this #ChildrensHospiceWeek. (sic)"

Earlier this week, Duchess Catherine has been messaging fans who have taken part in her Hold Still initiative, which encourages people to partake in stay-at-home photography whilst the coronavirus pandemic has left us unable to travel.

On one entry, Duchess Catherine wrote: "Thank you so much for taking part in the Hold Still project. I get so much joy from being outside and gardening too. C"

Whilst another said: "My children will very much relate to this. Thank you for taking part and sharing your story! C."
