Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney's rediscovered the joys of athlete comradery

Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney's rediscovered the joys of athlete comradery

The Olympic bronze medalist is currently at an Athletics New Zealand field-event camp in Hawke's Bay.

McCartney's been able to ramp-up her training as she recovers from hamstring and achilles injuries, completing her first full jump in 10 months.

She says Covid-19 brought an end to competition and the socialising that comes with it.
