It seems Wellington is the area least affected by dips in the housing market

New REINZ figures show national house prices are on the rise, despite predictions they would drop after our lock-down.
Regional Director Mark Coffey says Wellington's economy is boosted by a large chunk of government workers - rather than relying on tourism like many other regions do.
He says despite unemployment concerns, even if half the amount of buyers were lost, it wouldn't be enough to affect the market.
