The next edition of sailing's Ocean Race has been postponed by a year due to the effects of Covid-19

The next edition of sailing's Ocean Race has been postponed by a year due to the effects of Covid-19

Racing was due to start in October 2021 from Spain, but will now instead start in October 2022.

It'll finish in Italy in 2023 during the 50th anniversary of the round-the-world yacht race.

Kiwi sailor Peter Burling, who raced in the last edition, says adding an extra year ahead of the next race increases the likelihood of strong teams being on the start line.
