There'll be a heavy Police prescence in Rukuhia on the outskirts of Hamilton this weekend, after vehicles were shot at and damaged

Officers have been actively searching the area around Raynes Road and speaking with locals after the latest incident last Friday.

Multiple vehicles were shot at during the night, and Police believe it's linked to two similar incidents last month.

Detective Constable Tom Willis says it's extremely serious offending and the victims are very lucky to be unharmed.

He says they're absolutely committed to identifying those responsible and holding them to account.
