    A close call for police - after a high-speed chase through West Auckland - that ended in a 14 and 17-year-old being taken into custody


    Police pursued a stolen vehicle that failed to stop on Swanson Road in Henderson just after midday.

    But as they tried to trap the vehicle down a no-exit street, but the fleeing driver rammed their car.

    They also hit an officer on foot - giving them a minor leg injury - and crashed into a car belonging to a member of the public.

    The stolen car was later dumped in Glen Eden near Waikumete Cemetery.

    Two teens are in custody.
