Fears Auckland businesses won't survive Covid-19 restriction

Fears Auckland businesses won't survive Covid-19 restriction

Cabinet meets this afternoon to decide whether to extend Auckland's Level Three lockdown.

The Auckland Business Chamber warns hospitality and retail are especially at risk of shutting their doors.

Chief Executive Michael Barnett says many jobs are at risk.

He says businesses have weak balance sheets, are low in confidence - and we need to make things as easy for them as possible.
