A Hamilton jury has found a man not guilty of murdering a Tauranga 14 month old - in an incident witnessed by another child

Instead, 24-year-old Surender Mehrok was found guilty of the manslaughter of Richard Royal Arif Uddin, known as Baby Royal, in June 2016.

Mehrok denied it was intentional - and today the jury agreed.

The five-year-old witness's crucial evidence stated he saw Mehrok throw Baby Royal on the bed, then hit his head on the wall.
