Mounting pressure has paid off - and Parliament's Health Select Committee will now meet next Wednesday

National health spokesperson Shane Reti's request to reconvene the committee was declined last week - but he made another bid today.
New Zealand First jumped on board this afternoon - and now committee chair Louisa Wall's confirmed it will go ahead.
She says previously there wasn't a majority wanting the committee to resume.
Director-General Ashley Bloomfield and Health Minister Chris Hipkins have been invited to appear.
