Students are fighting Otago University over a proposal to limit its Maori Entry Pathway for medical school

Students are fighting Otago University over a proposal to limit its Maori Entry Pathway for medical school

The programmes was designed to boost the number of Maori in the health workforce.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says groups have been poorly represented in this space.

She says improving representation takes proactive policies and changes to the way we do things.

The University is facing a legal challenge against its medical admissions process for an allegedly unrelated issue.
