A relief for New Zealanders with neuro-endocrine cancers - who've been unable to access regular treatment in Australia, due to Covid-19

A relief for New Zealanders with neuro-endocrine cancers - who've been unable to access regular treatment in Australia, due to Covid-19

They can now be treated in Auckland, thanks to an interim arrangement.

Cancer Control Agency chief executive, Diana Safarti, says a number of groups, including the Auckland DHB, the Ministry of Health, and the Cancer Control Agency, have collaborated to find a solution.

Around two dozen unwell patients have been unable to access treatment in Victoria.

The first patient is expected to begin treatment in Auckland before the end of the month.
