Searchers have found no sign of a woman missing in North Canterbury since Sunday

Searchers have found no sign of a woman missing in North Canterbury since Sunday

Melissa Ewings - from the small town of Clarence - told friends she was going for a walk to Clarence River.

Police say there've been no sighting of the 31-year-old since.

A spokeswoman says Search and Rescue teams from Kaikoura and Marlborough are carrying out more searches in the Clarence area.

She says nothing of significance has been found at this stage.

Environment Canterbury monitored river levels were higher than usual over the weekend - but not at big flood levels.
