Queensland's  Valentine Holmes will miss the opening State of Origin match unless he can beat a shoulder charge at the NRL judiciary

Queensland's Valentine Holmes will miss the opening State of Origin match unless he can beat a shoulder charge at the NRL judiciary

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Cowboys fullback was cited for an 80th-minute hit on Brisbane's Jesse Arthars during their 32-16 win.

Deemed a grade-one offence, Holmes faces a one-week ban unless he successfully contests the charge.
