National's Finance spokesperson has rushed to the defence of Judith Collins

National's Finance spokesperson has rushed to the defence of Judith Collins

Paul Goldsmith claims National's leader did as good a job as could be expected.

The party's had a tumultuous year, seeing three different MPs at its helm.

Goldsmith says Collins should be proud of her efforts.

But Goldsmith says they'll have to take stock after this extraordinary result.
