Sir Cliff Richard finally learned how to do chores in lockdown

The ‘Bachelor Boy’ hitmaker spent the first few months of the coronavirus pandemic at his home in Barbados and though he was “horrified” at the prospect of having to spend so much time at the abode, he eventually adjusted and even worked out how to fend for himself without anyone else around to do everyday tasks for him

He said: “I was horrified at the idea. But I grew into it. And because of it I have learnt to clean toilets, mop and vacuum floors, make beds, work the dishwasher and the washing machine."

One highlight for the 80-year-old star was taking part in Gary Barlow’s Crooner Sessions on social media.

He added: "I was also able to duet with Gary Barlow, so it wasn't too bad."

Cliff was very thankful to have the internet because it made it so easy to communicate with the people he cares about.

He said: "Even with its faults, the internet has been terrific for me in that keeping in touch with friends and family is made easy. You just email someone and it doesn't matter where in the world they are, they are simply contactable."

While the ‘Young Ones’ singer turned 80 this week, he’s not worried about ageing and is already looking ahead to his 100th birthday, which he plans to mark by showing just how fit and healthy he still is.

He told HELLO! magazine: “Age is not an issue if you are lucky enough to have good health. If you can prolong your life and hold off death for a while, why not? I would like to play tennis for my 100th birthday and I will."
