Luke Evans has sparked speculation he has split from his boyfriend

The 'Beauty and the Beast' actor had been dating Rafael Olarra for over a year but they have now unfollowed one another on Instagram and the 41-year-old actor has removed almost every photo of the art director from his page

The pair started dating in summer 2019 and made their relationship Instagram official in February 2020.

During the coronavirus quarantine period, they spent a few months together in Florida, before travelling to the UK and Spain over the summer.

Over the last few months, they have been in Australia while Luke shot 'Nine Perfect Strangers' for Hulu but it seems that in the last few weeks, Rafael has returned to his job at luxury hotel chain Faena in the US.

The former couple's only red carpet appearance together was at the 'Frozen 2' European premiere last November.

The 'Clash of the Titans' star previously admitted he had got a tattoo after turning 40 because he felt "midlife crisis-y".

He said: "It's a band around my arm, it's continuous and it says the initials of my dad, my mother and me. Dave, Yvonne and Luke. It was because I was feeling a bit midlife crisis-y I guess... There's no dolphins or love hearts."

Meanwhile, Luke recently admitted he turned down the villainous role of Gaston in 2017's 'Beauty and the Beast' before finally accepting the part when he realised what a dark character he was.

He said: "I really wanted to be able to merge my singing career with my film career which was going well and I didn't know whether Gaston was the right role for that.

"My best mate said 'Mate, Gaston's a brilliant role.' So we watched it with the kids one Sunday and I watched this character, and I'd turned it down three times. I wanted to play the Beast, but they'd cast the Beast.

"But then I saw it and I thought 'I'm going to make them love me then absolutely despise Gaston.' "
