The Opportunities Party's departing leader says it's time for fresh blood

The Opportunities Party's departing leader says it's time for fresh blood

Geoff Simmons has stepped down, after TOP gleaned just 1.4 percent of the party vote in last month's election.

He's discussed starting a family, and has left deputy leader Shai Navot in charge for the interim.

He says TOP needs to connect more with voters on an emotional level.

He says he's proud of everything they've achieved, and believes TOP can go on to bigger and better things with all the young, fresh talent in the team.
