    Mercedes stranglehold over qualifying has come to an abrupt end ahead of Formula One's Turkish grand prix


    Racing Point's Lance Stroll has claimed a maiden pole position for the race, with Red Cull's Max Verstappen second.

    Mercedes struggled in the wet conditions, series leader Lewis Hamitlon will start from sixth while teammate Valterri Bottas is ninth.
