An industry leader says a drop in meat exports is no cause for concern

An industry leader says a drop in meat exports is no cause for concern

Analysis from the Meat Industry Association shows red meat exports dropped by 18 per cent in October compared with the same time in 2019.

The biggest drop was in the Chinese market - down 36 per cent.

But Meat Industry Association chief Sirma Karapeeva says overall exports are still at historically high levels.

She says the drop represents a disruptive and dynamic marketplace with the affects of Covid-19.
