New Zealand's first e-commerce-only retailer, Mighty Ape, has been sold to Australian retail and insurance company, Kogan, for almost 130 million dollars

New Zealand's first e-commerce-only retailer, Mighty Ape, has been sold to Australian retail and insurance company, Kogan, for almost 130 million dollars

Kogan.com has bought 100 percent of the business, but Mighty Ape founder Simon Barton is staying on as chief executive.

Barton says the deal will help Mighty Ape expand its product range, and improve the customer experience.

Mighty Ape has more than 895 thousand subscribers, and in the 12 months to September, generated more than 125-million dollars revenue.
