    Auckland's Mayor is ready for a summer of sailing on the Hauraki Gulf


    The America's Cup World Series Auckland regatta begins on Thursday, where teams will get a chance to race against each other for the first time.

    This morning, teams will gather at the race village for a powhiri, and public opening ceremony.

    Mayor Phil Goff is excited and says it's going to be a special event for Auckland this summer.
