    A man's been charged after a homicide in Hamilton overnight


    Emergency services were called after an assault on Kentucky Crescent in Nawton, shortly after 11pm.

    A 30-year-old woman was found seriously injured, and died soon after.

    The 34-year-old's due to appear in the Hamilton District Court this morning, charged with murder, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

    Police aren't looking for anyone else.

    A scene guard remains in place at two properties.
