    US politics updates: US Capitol police officer dies of injuries sustained in riot, bringing death toll to five

    US Capitol police say an officer has died of injuries sustained during yesterday's riot led by Donald Trump supporters. He is the fifth person to die as a result of the attack.


    US Capitol police say an officer has died of injuries sustained during yesterday's riot led by Donald Trump supporters, in what appears to be the deadliest event that has unfolded at the meeting place of Congress in 200 years.
