    Former Panthers and Wests Tigers winger Malakai Watene-Zelezniak has announced his retirement from rugby league following a health scare

    The 29-year-old was training with the Bulldogs alongside brother and Kiwis skipper Dallin, as he worked towards a full-time NRL contract.

    However, a week before Christmas he suffered acute kidney failure and was hospitalised, forcing him to change his priorities.
