The second round of an inquest into a series of deaths linked to epilepsy will begin today.

In November last year, the coronial inquest into the deaths of six New Zealanders aged between 27 and 35 began.

They all died after the brand of their government-funded medication was changed.

Pharmac faced criticism for switching the brand of an epilepsy drug to Logem , which affected about 11-thousand patients, sparking an internal review.
