Contact tracing teams are following up hundreds of contacts of our latest Covid-19 case

Contact tracing teams are following up hundreds of contacts of our latest Covid-19 case

We have no new community cases, and one in managed isolation.

Auckland is at Alert Level Three and the rest of the country in Level Two, after the 21-year-old student visited busy places while infected.

Officials have confirmed a member from the latest infected family met a person from an earlier infected family, during Auckland's last three-day lockdown.

Contact tracers have identified 21 close contacts at the Manukau Institute of Technology Manukau, and found154 casual-plus contacts at City Fitness in Hunters plaza.

Meanwhile, negative results are coming back from contacts of our earlier Auckland cases.

At Kmart Botany, all close plus staff members and 1794 customers have had negative results.

The majority of students and staff at Papatoetoe High School have also returned negative tests.
