National is calling for more detail, on what the Government is doing around covid passports

National is calling for more detail, on what the Government is doing around covid passports

Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins has revealed the Government is in active discussions on the issue.

He expects them to be rolled out by this time next year.

National's Chris Bishop says many countries will adopt a policy of "no vaccine, no travel" -- and that's definitely something New Zealand should be part of.

Bishop says although other countries are ahead of us due to progress on vaccination - we need to make sure we're part of the game.
